Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about ordering a Heiden.
How long does it take to build my bike?›
Once your final design is approved, it’s a 4–8 week turnaround to have your bike ready to ship or collect (this doesn’t include shipping time itself). If a specific component runs into supply delays, we’ll let you know and give you the choice to wait for it or switch to an equivalent part.
Can I build a road, gravel or mountain bike with the configurator?›
Yes — all three, and everything in between. We don’t believe in strict categories: every Heiden lives on a spectrum, and the configurator lets you pick exactly where on that spectrum your bike sits — tyre clearance, geometry and components to match.
How does the ordering process work?›
Configure your frameset on our builder, pick your components and extras, and pay a $500 deposit to start the design process. That deposit is fully refundable up until you approve your final design, and includes two rounds of revisions to get it exactly right. Once you approve, the remaining balance is split in two — half on approval, half when your build enters production — and your frame goes into the queue. When it’s ready, it ships to you (get a local shop to check it over before your first ride) or is ready for pickup from our showroom in Brisbane.
What materials do you build with?›
Carbon fibre tubes bonded into precision 3D-printed lugs — your choice of steel or titanium.
Do you ship interstate or internationally?›
Yes — anywhere in Australia and internationally, via DHL, UPS or Toll. Freight is included in your quoted price. For international orders, any import duties or taxes charged by your destination country are separate and your responsibility.
What is the price range for a Heiden build?›
Framesets start at $4,000 with steel lugs, or $6,000 with titanium. Complete build pricing depends on your component choices — get in touch to talk through your spec.
Can I bring my own components?›
Yes — we offer frameset-only builds, complete builds with components we source and fit, or a hybrid where you supply some or all of your own parts. Whatever works best for you.
What if I need to change or cancel my order?›
Your deposit is fully refundable any time before you approve your final design — plans change, no hard feelings. After approval but before your build enters production, we can usually accommodate a spec change (a real geometry change means a fresh design and approval, which restarts the lead-time clock) or a cancellation — get in touch and we’ll talk through the options. Once materials are ordered and your build is underway, changes or cancellation are handled case by case, since work and materials are already committed. See our Terms and Conditions for the full detail.
What’s covered under warranty?›
Every Heiden frame carries a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, for as long as you own it. Crashes and impact damage aren’t covered by warranty — but as the original builder, we can assess crash damage and offer you a replacement frame for a flat $2,000, rather than a full rebuild price. Full warranty terms are in our Terms and Conditions.
