This builder is a general guide, built on mathematical fit algorithms
designed to get you as close as we can to your ideal bike fit. It does
not replace a professional bike fit, and it can miss key personal
factors — limitations in joint range of motion, injuries, and left/right
(unilateral) differences among them.
For the best result we recommend a professional bike fit first, then
using the builder for the aspects of the bike you want to shape: handling
characteristics, tyre clearance, water bottle and bag clearance, and the build itself.
If you get pain or numbness on your current bike, see a professional fitter
or physio before ordering. Already have a fit report? Send it with your order
and we'll build your geometry to your fitter's coordinates.
Every order is reviewed by one of our fitters before the design is
approved — nothing is built from the algorithm alone.
HEIDEN CYCLE WORKS
Design your custom frame — live geometry, rendered as it will be built
Custom Heiden forks are in final ISO testing. Until they clear, every build ships
with a premium stock 700C fork — so builds are 700C-only for now. More wheel sizes roll out with the
Heiden fork, shortly.
Body measurements
Full 120–200cm range. Builds are currently 700C-only while our custom fork
finishes ISO testing — the small-wheel platforms (24"/26"/650B) return with it. Short cranks
are available as always.
Re-snaps to the guided default when height moves; nudge it up to 5cm either way to suit.
For disproportionate dwarfism we size by inside leg — under 140cm the slider opens right down.
A heads-up for your size: our
small-wheel platforms (24"/26") are offline while the custom fork completes ISO testing, so this
build uses 700C wheels — at your height that means real compromises: tall standover, toe overlap
and compromised handling. We'll talk it through honestly at design review; you may prefer to wait
for the small-wheel relaunch.
Ride character
Minor adjustments
Fine-tune on top of the computed fit. These are the same nudges I apply when a customer has a known preference — the geometry stays structurally sound.
Higher stack = more upright and relaxed; lower = longer and racier.
More reach stretches you out for stability at speed; less keeps steering light and the cockpit close.
Steeper puts you over the pedals (climbing, aero); slacker opens the hip angle for comfort.
Preset to Auto — follows fit. If you know the stem length, handlebar
width or crank length you plan to ride, set them here — even if you're not buying those
parts from us — they directly change your geometry numbers.
Auto follows your fit — or pick the stem length you want and it's locked in. The cockpit choices later follow from the size you set here.
Measured hood-to-hood. Auto scales with your shoulders (height model) — or pick the width you want. The cockpit choices later follow from the size you set here.
Drives the fit geometry — BB height follows crank length — and the build-kit picker snaps to the nearest available crank.
Colours
3D-printed lugs (steel or titanium — pick in Frame options) — head tube, BB shell, seat cluster, dropouts, tube sockets — painted in the MTN PRO metallic range.
Frame options
Machined into your lugs at manufacture — pick what matches your groupset today (and any upgrade path you want to keep open).

Seatpost & saddle
Bottles & cages
Room for a second down-tube bottle opens up on larger frames.
Negative slides the cage back over the BB shell, tucked behind the cranks.
Bottles auto-fit your frame: each mount takes the largest bottle that clears the
tubes, tyres and other bottles, as close to your chosen position as possible — on small frames a
mount may shrink to a 500ml or come off entirely. Direct Small/Large picks also size down or come
off rather than ever intersecting the frame.
Bags — fit check
True-size Apidura packs (dimensions from apidura.com, rolls at max length) drawn on your geometry — if a pack pokes through a tube, the tyre or the bars, that setup won't fit. Frame/top tube position slides back from the head tube (negative tucks into the corner); saddle and bar packs slide vertically.
Rim-brake build: we source the groupset (and
rim-brake wheelset) from what Shimano and SRAM still have available new, and quote it separately —
you'll confirm the exact parts and price with us before anything is committed.
